This is your instructor!

Hi everyone! My name is Hajeen Choi and I am a doctoral student at Instructional Systems and Learning Technology. I am originally from Seoul, South Korea. I studied Educational Technology for my B.A and M.A at Ewha Womans University in Korea, and also studied MBA at Duke University. I worked for about 15 years at an AOL-like portal company, IT consulting firm, business management consulting firm, and an English education company before coming to FSU. Currently, I am interested in student engagement in online learning, sense of belonging and othering, and social media in education. I hope to do more research on these topics and defend my prospectus this semester. On a personal note, I have two boys, almost 13 and 17 1/2 years old. My older one used to play baseball at Chiles high school and my younger played at Meridian Park. However, now they are playing games at home! Ugh... During the winter break, we went to Seoul to see our family. Here are some pictures from the east sea of Korea. I hope all of you had a wonderful winter break and ready for spring semester.
